, for JanuaryGThank you for joining us at our AGM 2021 / 2022

Thank you to all who joined us face-to-face and at home for our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2021/22 today Seawinds Community Hub.
We were so thrilled to have special guests Writers Victoria CEO Lucy Hamilton join us as a guest speaker, along with support from Mornington Peninsula Shire Cr Antonella Celi and Councillor Debra Marr (from Seawinds Ward) along with Community Bank Southern Peninsula’s Amber Earle and Seawinds Hub Manager Jenny Mihan.
However it was still a full house to reflect on our year and officiate our agenda.
We would like to thank the work of our outgoing and previous office bearer volunteer Committee Andrea Rowe, Rebecca Fraser, Carolyn Nicholson, Muriel Cooper, Paul Wattie and Steve Thuan and Elise De Little for their contribution. A detailed account of our year’s activities were delivered through the President Report with images of achievements, and our Treasurers Report.
We also gave our gratitude to a significant Mornington Peninsula Shire Creative Economy grant of $9, 000 by Mornington Peninsula Shire for our 2023 programs.
The following positions and individual nominations were unanimously supported and we congratulate all on your appointment:
Carolyn Nicholson, TREASURER
Karen Young, SECRETARY
During our Annual General Meeting our new fee structure was tabled add accepted for January 2023 application. (Minutes are available for our community upon requests). Thanks also to our wonderful members who make our scribe tribe one of truly supportive vibes. It’s always a joy to gather and celebrate, to commiserate the flat moments and to lift each other up on our shoulders when we succeed.
We enjoyed a super insightful talk by Lucy Hamilton about the opportunities and benefits of Writers Victoria to help us appreciate how we can expand for our individual writing lives.
Big thanks also to catering from the new Seawinds Hub cafe which opens tomorrow!
Thank you to all for your partnerships, collaborations and support. Here’s to a terrific year ahead!
