Bio

A newbie to calling myself a writer, I have been committed to a weekly writing practice for the past two years. I am working on my first novel and see it as a journey that will hopefully see me publish a long form fiction novel of around 80,000 words. Since committing to a writing routine and “putting myself out there” I have been shortlisted twice for the MornPen Mayors Short Story Awards and received a special commendation in the PWC WIR comp. I will continue to attend workshops, write ins, retreats and festivals and submit to short story comps and manuscript development comps. Hopefully one day I’ll believe myself when I say I am a writer.

Genre

General Fiction, Thriller, Romance, Short Stories

Why Do You Write?

It makes me happy (when I'm writing – not when I'm trying to be published!)

Have you been published before?

Yes

If yes, where have you been published?

A short story, years ago in "The Dubbo Times" and on Westernport Writers Festival website

What are you currently working on?

Currently working on the second draft of my novel – a domestic "mystery"

What are your long term goals?

To have short stories published, to eventually publish my first novel

What is your writing regime?

I currently have three days a week to write and try to write for 2-3 hours on those days. I do need better discipline!
