Bio

I am a passionate writer of Children’s Literature and short story. I explore archetypal imagery through the children’s classics and consider contemporary issues through a therapeutic lens. I love playing with narrative, form, dialogue and prose to create contemporary pieces that explore the intimacies of human nature and our evolutionary expansion. Informed by the everyday events that make us laugh, wonder and feel,  writing for me is a practise of empathetic imagining – dreaming and flexing within the potential of all relationships.

I have won the local literary prize Paper Nautilus in 2017, been short-listed in Wyndham Writing Awards Anthology 2018 and was accepted into the Union House Theatre 3 month Mentor Residency program, 2020 with spoken word artist, Declan Furber-Gillick. My short story Lift was shortlisted in the Mayor’s Short Story Competition 2024.

I am currently completing my Masters of Writing and Literature and live on the Mornington Peninsula, respectfully on the unceded lands and waters of the Bunurong people. I feel grateful every day for the magic that stories brings to my world.
