| Bio | Rebecca is an emerging poet and primary school teacher living with her husband and three sons in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. She received her Bachelor of Arts in literature from the University of Wisconsin before moving to Australia. During lockdown, Rebecca took the opportunity to study creative writing at Deakin University. In her free time, she loves reading, bushwalking and playing ukulele. |

| Why Do You Write? | I love writing; the distillation of ideas, the puzzling together of words, the crafting of images and emotions. I love being a part of the creative process and community, it is such a joy. |

| What are you currently working on? | I am currently working on a collection of poetry, working title 'Awakening' |
| What are your long term goals? | My long term goals are to hone and refine my ability to write evocative and compelling poems, as well as to have a body of published work. |
| What is your writing regime? | I aim to write a poem or a section of a poem most days. I also try to read poetry daily. |
