Why Do You Write?

I enjoy writing stories especially scripts and screenplays. I have a zillion stories in my head and from my observations which I often want to turn into a shared experience of either film, radio, poetry or a short story. My next challenge would be to write a novel.

Have you been published before?

Yes

If yes, where have you been published?

My films have been presented at various festivals both in Australia and overseas. If having plays and monologues performed publicly means published then yes. Melbourne Writer's Theatre have presented my works at La Mama Courthouse, Gasworks Theatre and via live stream during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021.

What are you currently working on?

I'm currently producing a short film documentary series about inspirational women. I'm also wanting to start writing a long form fictional story.

What are your long term goals?

To be a screenwriter. To write a novel which I then turn into a screenplay.

What is your writing regime?

Every week I either adapt an earlier piece, or continue to develop something I'm working on. I'm needing to be more routined and disciplined about my writing. Once I get started on a project I write often.
