Bio

I have lived by Port Phillip Bay most of my life, it’s changing hues and daily dramas have replenished my resilience, given me peace and cradled my soul in times of both sadness and happiness. In my professional life I am a Palliative Care RN and feel fortunate to work through our tertiary hospital on the edge of the Mornington Peninsula. I write intermittently, currently, but hope to garner more enthusiasm though attending events and perhaps bravely joining a write-in on a Friday morning. I am currently working on a slightly futuristic novel with nods to climate change, mildly dystopian and a strong female protagonist who saves the day.

Genre

General Fiction

Why Do You Write?

I acknowledge that somewhere deep within is a drive to create with words; it has taken years but I am content with that. From pencil to pen, a typewriter and now keyboard, such fun had and to be had still!

Have you been published before?

No

What are you currently working on?

A novel several decades in advance set on the Mornington Peninsula and other Melbourne surrounds, with a strong female protagonist.

What are your long term goals?

To keep writing, whilst improving and certainly always loving the journey.

What is your writing regime?

Sadly haphazard as shift work and the sandwich generation, caring for elderly loved ones and now mostly grown grandchildren, effect routine. Or is this really just an excuse and I need PWC advise?
