Mate Antolos

Born in 1971 Mate Antolos known by his friends as Mike was raised in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs with stints in country victorian towns of Bendigo and Sorrento.  His education began in the catholic school system, and he later attended Deakin University (Burwood Campus) and the University of Huddersfield.  After working 20 years in the textile industry he formed a small transport company which he ran for 7 years, and once he sold the business due to becoming his mother’s sole carer who was in ill health that he found writing.  Antolos’s first novel was published in 2024, The Uneasy Silence.  In 2025 Mate followed up his first publication with his second novel, The Fall.  Currently he is editing his third novel which will most likely be published in 2027, The Child Soldiers of Melbourne.  He is a resident of Mornington.
