Author Bio
| Name | Susan Parritt |
| Preferred public name | Sue Parritt |
| Bio | Originally from England, and now living in Mount Martha, Sue worked in Australian university libraries until taking early retirement in 2008 to concentrate on writing novels. Since then, Sue has had eleven novels published. Sue’s second trilogy: 28 Days, Next Step and Exposure (The Reluctant Doorkeeper Trilogy), Next Chapter, 2021-22, is set on the Mornington Peninsula and in Melbourne between 2100 and 2106. The trilogy explores the problem of overpopulation and extended life expectancy in an increasingly climate-challenged world and the inhumane solutions adopted by a government determined to rid Australia of unproductive citizens. Recently published, The Year of Living Rainbow, Next Chapter, 2024 is a poignant drama about friendship, love and resilience in the face of an unforgiving world. Sue’s current project, working title, The Evolution of Goodwife Judith, focuses on retiree, Judith, 78, as she explores and embraces the liberty of widowhood in present-day Melbourne. Passionate about peace and social justice, Sue’s goal as a writer is to incorporate these issues into her fiction, and to keep writing for many years to come.
