Introducing our 2022 judges for the Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Writing Award

 

Last year’s Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Writing Awards was a resounding success and we are delighted to partner once again with Mornington Peninsula Shire again this year. 
 
We have once again opened our regional writing competition to Mornington Peninsula residents with age categories covering  8 – 12 years, 12 – 17 years and 18+ years. In 2022 submissions will be judged by esteemed guest judge authors Garry Disher,  Coral Vass, Samantha-Ellen Bound and Councillor (Mayor) Anthony Marsh. 
 

We are so grateful to our judges for sharing their time and short story insight for our annual writing competition, and we look forward to sharing talented local writing contributions with them. 

Winning entries will receive $500 and book store voucher 8 – 12 yrs, $500 and bookstore voucher 12 – 17 yrs and $1000, bookstore voucher two-week Police Point residency wiht Mornington Peninsula Shire.

With thanks to prizes donated by our supportive local bookstores Antipodes Bookshop, Farrell’s Bookshop, Rosebud BookBarn and Petersens Bookshop.
