The 2022 Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Writing Award is now open for entries

 

This year we welcome entries from:
 8 – 12 years – up to 500 word limit short story
13 – 17 years – up to 1000 word limit short story and 18+ years – 2000 word limit short story.  
In 2022 our submissions will be judged by esteemed guest judge authors Garry Disher,  Coral Vass, Samantha-Ellen Bound and Councillor (Mayor) Anthony Marsh.

There are over $2000 worth of cash prizes to be won, hundreds of dollars in book vouchers and a two-week writing residency accommodation at Police Point, near Pt Nepean. 

 

 

With thanks to prizes donated by our supportive local bookstores Antipodes Bookshop, Farrell’s Bookshop, Rosebud BookBarn and Petersens Bookshop. And gratitude to our Shortlist Judging committee Heather Forbes McKeon, Sue Brown and Sarah Halfpenny for their support and assistance. 

Entries for 2022 are now open and will close on 22 July .
