Announcing the winners of the Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Writing Award

 

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our entrants to this year’s Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Writing Awards.
 
We had over 115 entries for our first every writing award in 3 categories; 8 – 12 years, 12 – 17 years and 18+ years
 
The diversity of story depth amongst our entries was wonderful and our judges assessed each and every entry to declare 3 winners and 3 highly commended entrants.
We were so thrilled to celebrate this local literary event with our live online announcement.

12 – 17 yrs Winner: Untitled (the story of Jake) by Maddy Macdonald

12 – 17 yrs Highly Commended: Untitled (the story of Eleanor) by Amira Lees

8 – 12 yrs Winner: Running with the wolves by Chloe Brigden

8 – 12 yrs Highly Commended: In My Wildest Dreams by Gracie Medlicott
